On April 16, 2013, Shelley Slafkes and Bruce Levitt were speakers at a live Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Seminar titled “Consumer Bankruptcy 101: Adding Chapter 7 & 13 Bankruptcy to Your Practice.” As premier bankruptcy attorneys, Shelley and Bruce gave advice and tips to other attorneys on how to be successful in their Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 practice.

  The CLE was a step-by-step workshop on filling out bankruptcy petition forms and local Chapter 13 plan forms. Shelley and Bruce provided other attorneys a line-by-line instruction on how to best complete Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 schedules, including specific instruction catered to local trustee preferences. Lien stripping of junior mortgages and mortgages on non-primary residential real property in a Chapter 13 case was also discussed.Some of the key topics that Shelley and Bruce covered in the CLE included:
