Maplewood, NJ — Bruce H. Levitt, Managing Member, Levitt & Slafkes, P.C., was recently featured on 1 450 WCTC radio to discuss the termination of the Home Affordable Modification Program (HAMP) and foreclosures in New Jersey. The HAMP ended on December 31, 2016. New programs are beginning to form to replace HAMP.
According to Levitt, “New Jersey leads the country with foreclosures and HAMP has helped thousands of homeowners throughout the years.” He continues, “Now that the program has ended we need see what new programs will be implemented.”
Home foreclosures can happen in any area, rich or poor – no one is immune. New Jersey is a traditional foreclosures state, the court system must be involved and can take approximately a year to complete the process.
