Can I keep my house if I declare Chapter 13 bankruptcy?

A Chapter 13 bankruptcy can permanently stop a foreclosure if you can meet certain requirements.  You must be able to start making your regular monthly mortgage payments and keep up to date on your taxes and homeowners insurance. You will also have to pay your arrears (the payments you missed) during the 3 to 5 years of your Chapter 13 reorganization plan.
