Own an iPad? Check These Legal Apps Out!

On Behalf of | May 27, 2013 | Debt, The Economy & Public Policy

Modern technology is an amazing thing, if you can keep up with it! If you own an iPad or iPhone, you may want to take a look at these apps to see if they can make your life run a little smoother:

·         WestlawNext. This free app makes it simple to get legal research done when you are out of the office. It works so well, you may even use it when you are in the office.

·         Reminders. This is a free, built-in app that is great for keeping your “to-do” list on your iPhone. Even better, you can use Reminders with Siri to create time-based or location-based reminders. For example, if you tell Siri to remind you to call your client when you get back to your office, your iPhone knows when you reach your office and sends the alert.

·         Documents to Go. I think this is the most user-friendly app for reviewing Microsoft Word documents on your iPhone or iPad. While there is a $9.99 charge for downloading it, the way it handles Word files makes it worth the fee.

·         dLaw and Fastcase. The dLaw app allows you to research statutes and rules while the Fastcase app provides free legal research capabilities. Both are very handy when you need to read the law while on the go.
